Working Together to Provide Supports and Services to Seniors in Lillooet Communities
The Lillooet Elder Connect program was started in 2022 through a partnership between the Lillooet Friendship Center Society, the Lillooet Seniors Drop-In Center Society and Lillooet Learning Communities Society.
These are local gatherings open to all elders and seniors in our communities.
Elder Connect hosts and supports various gatherings, social meals and workshops each year, including an annual Elders Gathering in March. 2027 Elders Gathering dates to be announced.

The Better at Home Program supports seniors with non-medical services so they can live in their homes for longer. Light housekeeping and yard care are delivered by qualified local contractors and are subsidized depending on participants’ annual income. Most of our other services are provided by volunteers and are completely free.
Services include:
Friendly Visiting
Light Housekeeping
Light Yard Work
Non-Medical Transportation
Navigation and Peer Support

Shop and deliver is run by local volunteers who pickup and deliver groceries to seniors in our communities.

Elder Connect partners with local service providers and the BC Association of Community Response Networks to provide seniors with information on Elder Abuse, Health, Community Services and more.
