Working Together to Provide Supports and Services to Seniors in Lillooet Communities

The Lillooet Elder Connect program was started in 2022 through a partnership between the Lillooet Friendship Center Society, the Lillooet Seniors Drop-In Center Society and Lillooet Learning Communities Society.

Services provided through Elder Connect:

1. Seniors Social Gatherings, Trips, and Workshops

These are local gatherings open to all elders and seniors in our communities. 

  1. Bi-Annual Senior EXPO
  2. Information Sessions and Workshops for Seniors
  3. Gatherings with Meals
  4. Out of Town Trips

2. Better at Home Program

This aspect of the program supports seniors with non-medical services, so they can live in their homes as they age. Services are subsidized depending on income.

  1. Friendly Visiting
  2. Light Housekeeping
  3. Light Yard Work
  4. Non-Medical Transportation

3. Shop & Deliver

Shop and deliver is run by local volunteers who pickup and deliver groceries to seniors in our communities. 

If you need help with grocery shopping please call 250-256-9120.

4. Distribution of Information & Resources

Elder Connect partners with local service providers and the BC Association of Community Response Networks to provide seniors with information on Elder Abuse, Health, Community Services and more.
